13. Love through the art of flowers

I remember you tending the garden so lovingly; wishing I too, had your infinite patience and green thumbs. I remember you love the fragile orchids, so much so that we had a variety (which kept wilting off) at home.

Whenever it’s a prayer day, we buy orchids and think of you.

These days, I’ve been trying to slow down and draw more, paint more, look and really observe more. I don’t want to forget the colours around me, nor the fact that Nature goes on, with or without our notice.
